2000 Years of Healing: Health Benefits of Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is one of the many herbal teas available to give your system a boost.

These herbal “tea's” are often not actually teas, since they do not come from the “tea” plant, but since they are brewed they have many of their own benefits, just like regular tea.

Ginger, specifically,  has been noted for its many medicinal properties for over 2,000 years. Ginger is an herb that many in the western world should use quite a bit more often and getting some of those benefits in the form of a ginger tea is a great way to get more ginger into our diet.

Some herbal tea's may be a blend of black, green or Oolong teas along with the herbal ingredients, and therefore may also have some of the healthy properties of the blended tea as well as it's own properties.

The thing to beware about the blended teas however is to be sure they are not overly processed.  Too much processing leeches the positive qualities from both forms tea and it's herbal brother.
