Announcing: 10,000 Steps Blueprint

There are countless ways to get fit and lose weight.  Unfortunately most programs ask you to do one of two things: 1) Follow a restrictive diet that can't be maintained 2) Complete a “bootcamp” course that requires HOURS of your free time. A simpler solution is to create a “10,000 Steps Habit”, which can fit into any busy schedule.

In the book “10,000 Steps Blueprint” youโ€™ll discover a blueprint for developing the walking habit. You'll find that it works best when it becomes part of your lifestyle. It's not a “here today, gone tomorrow” fad. It's not a temporary fix. Done correctly, it's a permanent change that can be a cornerstone of a healthier, fitter and happier existence.

Here's a taste of what's covered:

  • The Origin of the 10,000 Steps Habit
  • How Far Is 10,000 Steps?
  • 13 Health Benefits of Step Walking
  • 4 Walking Items You'll Need to Get Started
  • How to Create a Walking Plan that Actually Works
  • 16 Shortcuts to “Pad” Your Daily Step Count
  • How to Create Warm Up and Cool Down Routines
  • 6 Obstacles That can Derail a Walking Habit (and Their Solutions)
  • Power Walking: How to Turn 10,000 Steps into a Dynamic Activity
  • The Importance of Injury Prevention

It's not hard to develop the walking habit once you know how it fits into your busy day.  Grab “10,000 Steps Blueprint” to learn how to  get started.

  1. My daughter just bought the Fitbit and I plan to send this post to her. She is really into the 10000 steps. She is 43 and has a pacemaker and defibrillator and with her heart disease, walking is the only exercise she can do. Hopefully she will comment on your book.

    • Thanks Arleen,

I use the FitBit all the time, and so does my older brother, who also happens to be 43. My mother has one too, though she doesn’t do 10,000 steps because she is 67 and just got over major knee surgery.

Walking is a great habit for just about anyone, scaled to ability. Best way to keep healthy for a long time.

Hope you daughter gets some good use from the book (if she reads it) and I wish her the best of luck with her continuing her healthy walking habit.

  2. I am all for habits ๐Ÿ˜‰

I usually limit all my reading to my reading blocks. I am filled up for now (Library books..I have to read and turn them in), but I will be free in 2 weeks. I will read and review it then ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks for the Kindle Book, Steve! Hope you are having a great week.

  3. Wow, this looks an interesting idea for a book. I love introducing new habits and this one seems like it would be a good one to try out.

    • Thanks Steve! Being a runner, I wasn’t sure when I started up a daily walking habit whether it would be something I enjoyed. I have found that it really does complement my daily routine, and is a lot of fun. (I listen to podcasts while walking). Regardless of whether people get the books, I hope they at least try a walking habit.

      Thanks for a nice comment!
